5. Keep Your Benefit Active
Each year you will be asked to confirm you still qualify. If your VA pension stops or changes, tell your provider within 30 days, and check whether you still qualify through income.
Use your Lifeline line at least once every 30 days if your service is free. A short call or text is enough to keep it active.
