How To Switch Your Lifeline Provider

1. Why People Switch

The most common reason is coverage. Lifeline providers use the networks of major carriers, so one provider may have a strong signal in your neighborhood while another struggles indoors. If calls drop or data is slow where you spend most of your time, a provider on a different network may work better.
Plan details are another reason. Providers change their offers over time, and a competitor might now include more data, a better phone, or hotspot use. Customer service also matters: if you cannot reach your provider when something goes wrong, it may be time to move.
Before switching, ask friends or neighbors which network works best in your area.
